Xiaomi has always been quick to deliver new features to its customers. Xiaomi has now confirmed that it’s Android Q-based MIUI 11 will head to 11 devices by Q1 2020. After a month since the Android Q has been introduced Xiaomi has released a list of 11 of its smartphones that will get Android Q update in the near future.

Xiaomi has claimed that MIUI 11 will provide the massive overhaul in both the looks and performance department that many fans have been eager for. While the details are not quite final, Xiaomi confirmed that 11 devices will receive the Android Q-based update by Q1 2020 on the official MIUI forums (via XDA Developers).

In Q4 2019:

  • Xiaomi Mi 9
  • Redmi K20 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 8
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
  • Redmi K20
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 SE

In Q1 2020:

  • Redmi Note 7
  • Redmi Note 7 Pro

At the I/O 2019 keynote, Google revealed the expansion of its Android Q Beta programme and specified that among other models, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and Mi 9 are eligible for the latest Android Q Beta build. Late last month, the newly launched Redmi K20 Pro was also added to the Android Q Beta program. The first test build is limited to the China variant, though.

One other caveat is that this news will undoubtedly apply directly to the Chinese variants of each handset. Given Xiaomi’s track record though, we would expect MIUI 11 to roll out shortly after any Chinese release. Android Q is due to release in the later half of August and will be arriving first on existing as well as the new Pixel 4 smartphones.
