Google launched Google Play Points in the US

Google launched its reward service Google Play Points in the USA. This service was previously launched in Japan and South Korea. Play Store’s official twitter account tweeted about this.

With Google Play Points, users can earn reward points on every purchase they make from the Play Store. This includes in-app items and subscriptions. They can score up to four times as many points during special events. Users will also get bonus points for installing featured apps or games. The bonus points will also be given when users make a purchase during some special events. Rewards points depend on the user’s level. Each level has different and increased rewards points. Users can reach up to the Platinum level. The reward point for this level is four times of the normal.

Users can redeem the reward points for buying apps, games movies books and songs from the Play Store. Reward points can also be used to make donations. They can donate points to support profit- non-profit organizations such as the World Food Program USA, Doctors Without Borders USA and save the children.

To sign up for Goole Play Points, just open Play Store in your smartphone, tap on the Play Points section on the menu and follow the instructions. According to the official website of Play Store, These rewards points will get expired after one year.
