Google One app for Android offers free phone backups

Google’s unified cloud backup device service which is Google One has the ability to back up device data, photos and videos. From today, the same feature can be used by all the users of Android for free of cost.

It is one of the convenient and easy way of saving all the texts, contacts, photos, apps and videos. The method of doing this is automatic one as users need to put little efforts. If the user ends up breaking,losing or upgrading the device, all the data gets saved in the cloud in a hassle free way. There are several devices which have been supporting the back up of data to the cloud. This is possible because of the Google Play Service’s backup manager service which helps you to upload files on the Google drive of the user. Although, this feature of backup does not include MMS, videos or photos in the original quality, which is one of the advantages from Google Photos.

Adding on to the feature of backup, Google will also be launching a storage manager, which will be available online as well as in the mobile app. This will help users for deleting the files across various services which One supports, including Gmail and Google Photos for clearing  up the space. With Google account users get a free space of 15GB and it’s for $1.99/month for 100GB of data on Google One.

With One, subscribers can share their plan with five more members, so in case you do not need that much of space you can share it among your family members. Premium support,  Google Play credits, and Google Store member rewards comes along with the membership. In order to do premium editing in Google Photos, a subscription is needed. Android app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
