Samsung revealed the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update for Galaxy S20 series around two months ago. The developer beta version for One UI 3.0 was released this month and the UI design and new features were also unveiled. Samsung has now announced the release of the beta update of One UI 3.0 for Galaxy S20 series.

The community manager for beta operations stated through a post at Samsung Members Community that One UI 3.0 version would soon arrive for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra at South Korea. Interested people can sign up for the program through Samsung Members app. The launch date and download link will be revealed through the app and if users don’t have the Samsung Members app, they can install and keep their device ready.

The release plan has been revealed only for South Korea and there are chances that the beta program will be open for users in markets like Germany, India and US. After the beta update of One UI 3.0 is released for Galaxy S20 series, Samsung might release a similar program for Galaxy Note 20 series.

One UI 3.0 would bring improvements in camera with better autofocus and stabilization. There will be a trash bin for messages, ability to delete duplicate contacts, call screen customization, improved calendar and reminder apps. Samsung will also add weekly trends for Digital Wellbeing and different profiles for work and personal profiles. There will also be two separate widgets for time spent on calls while driving and lock screen.

When users would long press on an icon, it would let users to add the associated widget on home screen. The screen can be locked by double-tapping at the empty area of the home screen. Features of Android 11 like conversation sections at the notifications area, chat bubbles, media playback widget are also there in One UI 3.0. Other new features include a new version of Samsung Internet with new add-ons and improvements to Samsung Keyboard and Wireless DeX.
