WhatsApp is reportedly ending it’s support for some older smartphones. For this, the company has laid a deadline till February 2020.

Instant messaging app will stop WhatsApp from the beginning of next year in some Android smartphones. Deadlines are given in February 2020. It is important to know that on Windows Mobile Phone, WhatsApp has already announced to discontinue its support. By the end of this year, WhatsApp will stop working in Windows Phone. Windows Phones have already stopped getting it anyway, but still some people use Windows Mobile phones around the world.

Now WhatsApp has brought bad news for some Android users too. According to WhatsApp, “2.3.7 version Android smartphone users and iPhone users running iOS 7 will not be able to get any support WhatsApp from February 1, 2020.” Let me tell you that there is no issue of software updates with Apple’s iPhone. Because in the old iPhone like iPhone 5S, the company still offers a new update. But this is not the case with Android, many of the older smartphones of companies have stopped getting updates on Android now.

However, WhatsApp has also said that the company’s decision will not affect many users. At the same time, the company has said that only those who are using old android phones and iphones will be affected by this decision. Because now most people are using new smartphones and new software updates are also provided.

WhatsApp has asked its users to use the Android 4.0.3 or higher version of the smartphone so that the WhatsApp service is not closed and it can be used. If iPhone users use iOS 8 or above, you will still have no trouble running Whatsapp app.
