Aprilia has revealed the 2021 RSV4 and RSV4 Factory globally and the updated bike this time incorporates multiple changes. Borrowing the looks from the younger sibling, obviously the RS 660, it is now powered by a 1099cc Euro-5 compliant engine that can churn out a massive 217HP. Updates on the 2021 Aprilia RSV4 & RSV4 Factory

Design-wise, the all-new Aprilia RSV4 now comes with a revamped look that is inspired by its younger sibling. The updated motorcycle now comes with a redesigned LED headlamps with DRLs, a new fuel tank and a seat for improved aerodynamics. Further, the RSV4 also gets a new swingarm that is inspired by the RS-GP bike.

Apart from this, the 2021 RSV4 is only available with a Dark Losail color scheme. Whereas, the RSV4 Factory comes with Aprilia Black and Lava Red color schemes. Meanwhile, the RSV4 also offers additional features such as Brembo Stylema brake callipers, forged aluminium wheels and Ohlins suspension.

Engine

The engine that powers the updated Aprilia RSV4 is a Euro 5 compliant 217HP, 1099cc unit. Meanwhile, it has replaced a 1077cc four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that used to churn out a maximum of 217BHP @ 13,200 RPM and 122Nm of torque @ 11,000. Further, it was mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch for quick shifts.

Alternatives

When launched Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory will compete against the likes of established high-end motorcycles. Meanwhile, the list includes Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade, Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000, BMW S1000RR, etc. No official announcement regarding its launch in India has been made yet.
