The two-wheeler market has been quite dull since the pre-covid era. An increase in the number of car buyers is definitely one reason behind it. However, the other one is the lack of exciting machines that almost every bike manufacturer understands. Keeping all these scenarios in their mind, Ducati has finally launched the updated Supersport 950 range with a price starting at Rs.13.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Just to keep company with this newly launched bike, the manufacturer has also introduced the S variant of the same ranging between Rs.15.49 Lakhs to Rs.15.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) depending upon the additional accessories. Want to learn more about it? Check out all the details down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ducati has launched the new 2021 Supersport 950 in India.
  • The standard version comes with a price tag of Rs.13.49 Lakhs.
  • To be powered by a 110HP, 937cc twin-cylinder petrol engine.

Design & Features

A lot of updates can be seen when it comes to the overall styling. For starters, it comes with a new design language that is very similar to what we have already seen on the new Panigale range. The front end of this new bike depicts an aggressive look with a new pair of LED headlights and DRLs which are identical to the human brow. There are even subtle air intakes next to the headlamps for improved aerodynamic efficiency.

Hardware

Using a steel trellis frame, Supersport 950 sits on an adjustable 43mm Marzocchi USD fork upfront. At the rear, it is still available with a Sachs mono-shock unit that works quite seamlessly altogether. The bike manufacturer has also introduced a large 16-litre fuel tank that is expected to improve the overall range.

Ducati also claims that the top-spec S variant comes with a totally different Ohlins suspension setup for enhanced rideability.

Engine

Powering both the standard and S variant is a potent 937cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. As claimed by the brand, it is now compliant with the latest emission norms and is truly capable of propelling a massive 110HP and 93Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for the same are managed by a 6-speed gearbox but for added convenience, the all-new Supersport is also available with a quick shifter which is available across both variants.

It is more of a sports bike. However, Ducati claims it to be a well-balanced motorbike that can be classified somewhere between a sports bike and a tourer. There are even three ride modes to alter the overall performance including – Urban, Touring and Sport. All of these together works fluently making the Ducati Supersport 950 a perfect ride for young buyers.
