Too many spy shots, teasers and similar videos have made the upcoming 2021 Gurkha a highly anticipated launch. We all know that the ongoing pandemic has played a prominent role in delaying the launch. However, now, the brand has finally decided to reveal the capable offroader on 15th September for customers globally.
Want something cheaper but as capable as the Mahindra Thar when it comes to offroading? Well, take a look at the details we have covered related to the 2021 Force Gurkha down below.
Most of the changes can be witnessed outside and to begin with, the all-new Force Gurkha is now expected to feature a new pair of LED headlights, reprofiled bumpers, large wheel arches, 16-inch alloy wheels and body cladding to enhance the overall stance. According to the sources, several new colours have also been introduced to the palette for enhanced road presence. Several sources suggest that the upcoming Gurkha will also get new dual-tone shades for prospective buyers.
This time, the carmaker does not want to stay much behind the all-new Thar. As expected, Force will finally introduce a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. Just to maintain the ruggedness, it will continue to remain an old school in terms of layout.
Under the hood, expect the updated Force Gurkha to feature the older 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. As per the carmaker, this engine is now compliant with the latest emission norm with power figures rated somewhere around 90BHP and 260Nm. Also, transmission duties for this entire setup are managed by a 5-speed gearbox with a four-wheel-drive system available across the entire range.
Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the all-new Jimny for the Indian market. However, till then, Force Gurkha will continue its rivalry with the second generation Thar. Want to learn more about it? Check out all the details down below.
Launched last year, the all-new Mahindra Thar became an overnight success while being the best seller. The current generation model comes powered by either a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a decent 130HP and 300Nm of peak torque. There’s even a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an overall output rated at 150HP and 300Nm making it a practical offering.
In terms of features, Mahindra Thar comes with a water-resistant touchscreen infotainment system, G-force meter, brand’s 4WD system and multiple roof options.
