In terms of design, the updated Hero Xpulse 200T remains almost similar to the outgoing BS4 counterpart. However, there is a major mechanical update on the powerplant. Thus, the all-new Hero Xpulse 200T is now powered by a BS6 compliant 199.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. It uses fuel injection instead of the conventional carburetor setup while producing 17.8HP alongside 16.15Nm of peak torque. Earlier, the BS4 engine used to produce 18.1HP and 17.1Nm of torque. However, it is still available with a 5-speed gearbox.

Feature-wise, the all-new Xpulse 200T comes equipped with an all-LED headlamp setup and a fully digital instrument cluster. Further, this instrument cluster is now available with turn-by-turn navigation and Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.

Other mechanical changes are not there on the updated Hero Xpulse 200T. It still gets telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. Meanwhile, even the disc brakes continue to serve both ends. To enhance the stopping power, Xpulse 200T is now available with a single-channel ABS. Also, Hero has introduced three color schemes on offer, precisely – Matte Sheild Gold, Sports Red and Panther Black.

Alternatives

Currently, there are no direct rivals of the Hero Xpulse 200T in India. Meanwhile, the major reason behind no direct rivalry is that it is the only affordable scrambler motorbike available with such an affordable price tag. However, in terms of price, Xpulse 200T competes against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha FZ-S V3 among others.
