Honda has recently launched the 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India. The updated tourer now costs Rs.15.96 Lakh* (Manual). Meanwhile, the DCT variant of the same is now priced at Rs.17.50 Lakh*. The outgoing manual variant was priced at Rs.15.35 Lakh* and the latter earlier came with a price tag of Rs.16.10 Lakh*. To conclude, the DCT variant now comes for a premium of Rs.1,40,000 and the hike seems to be really massive.

Updates & Features

The updated flagship adventure tourer will now be available with two new color schemes including – Darkness Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White tricolour. Meanwhile, it will also get multiple electronic aids such as cornering ABS, a 6.5-inch touchscreen instrument cluster, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), six-axis IMU, etc. among others. Further, this new TFT display supports Apple CarPlay and can be connected via Bluetooth as well.

Apart from this, the Sports variant will also come with a larger skid plate, 24.5-litre fuel tank and tubeless tyres that are more capable off the road.

Engine

Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports was first introduced with a 998cc parallel-twin engine. However, last year, this engine was replaced by the 1084cc BS6 compliant unit. It churns out a massive 99.2HP @ 7500 RPM alongside a peak torque of 103Nm @ 6250 RPM. Meanwhile, the outgoing engine used to produce 89HP and 93Nm of torque.

Bookings for the all-new Africa Twin Adventure Sports has already been started in India. Meanwhile, HMSI will only retail this flagship adventure tourer from Honda’s BigWing outlet only.
