Honda has recently launched the 2021 Honda CBR 150R in Indonesia and the all-new motorcycle now feels extremely fresh with lots of cosmetic updates. Further, it seems that the Japanese bike manufacturer has worked really hard on the CBR150R while taking its rivalry with the Yamaha R15 V3 to another level. Right now, Honda CBR150R will cost somewhere around 40.8 million rupiahs in Indonesia.

  • Honda has launched the 2021 Honda CBR150R globally.
  • The all-new Honda CBR150R looks absolutely stunning with that aggressive look.
  • The Japanese bike manufacturer has not confirmed its launch in India yet.

What are the updates on the 2021 Honda CBR150R?

First look of the 2021 Honda CBR150R might confuse you as the updated motorcycle now looks similar to its elder sibling, CBR250RR. It is now equipped with a refreshed front fascial along with an all-LED headlight unit. Meanwhile, the rear now feels sharper than ever. To sum up, one can say that the 2021 Honda CBR150R is now more aggressive, bold as well as mature. Earlier, the Japanese bike manufacturer did try to give this entry-level motorcycle a mid-life update in the month of December. However, this time the changes on the all-new Honda CBR150R are extremely mind-boggling.

Bike enthusiasts will be able to notice at the front that the all-new USD fork is now finished in gold. Meanwhile, this suspension uni on the updated CBR150R is powered by Showa. Further, for enhanced safety customers can now opt for ABS as well.

Engine

No mechanical changes are there on the 2021 Honda CBR150R. It comes with the same 149cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum of 17.3BHP @ 9,000 RPM. Meanwhile, the peak torque stands at 14.4Nm @ 7,000 RPM and is better when compared to what the R15 V3 produces. Further, the engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch for slick shifting.

To conclude, the 2021 Honda CBR150R seems to be a perfect rival to the Yamaha R15 V3. With an aggressive design language, Honda is expected to dominate its rival to a greater extent. Talking about its launch in India, it will be offered in the Indian market anytime soon. However, if launched, it will reach India via the CKD route that will again result in hefty price tags.
