Under the hood, the 2021 Sonet comes with three different engine options. Customers can opt for a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that churns out 83HP and 115Nm of torque. For your information, it is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Then there is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit that produces 120HP and 175Nm of torque while being mated to a 6-speed iMT gearbox as standard. However, customers will also get the option to choose this gearbox with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as well. The 100HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. The peak torque from this engine stands at 240Nm.
