2021 Kia Sorento makes world debut; loaded with ADAS

Kia Motors first launched the Kia Sorento in 2002. However, Kia has now revealed the fourth-generation Kia Sorento globally. And this time the Korean carmaker is offering five trims on offer with the Kia Sorento including LX, S, EX, SX and SX-Prestige.

However, four-engine options will be available with the upcoming Kia Sorento. It will get a 2.5L four-cylinder, GDI engine that produces 191HP of power and 247Nm of torque, another 2.5L four-cylinder, GDI turbo engine produces 281HP of maximum output and 422Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other two engine options will be the 1.6L four-cylinder GDI turbo hybrid and 1.6L four-cylinder GDI turbo with plug-in hybrid technology. Kia will also offer the front-wheel drive as well as the all-wheel drive powertrain as optional against all the trims.

Coming to the features, Kia Sorento now comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree parking camera, blind view monitor and an 8-inch or a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car technology.

Meanwhile, there are 16 Advance Driver Assistance Systems including Blind Spot Collision Avoidance (BCCA), Standard Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Safe Exist Assist and many more.

Kia Motors with the 2021 Kia Sorento is offering three transmissions including the 8-speed AT, 8-speed DCT and 6-speed AT.

Kia is all set to launch the 2021 Kia Sorento in the US. Meanwhile, the launch of Kia Sorento in India is still under consideration and we hope it comes to India soon.
