In terms of design, it remains very similar to the older one. However, just to make sure that it is relevant to the modern design language the British carmaker has redesigned the bumpers, headlamps and alloy wheels. Coming to the other updates, the front fascia of the SUV now features a redesigned grille. Meanwhile, at the back, the 2021 Discovery gets upgraded taillamps. The top-end variants are also expected to come with the Matrix LED headlights.

Heading to the R-Dynamic trim, that brings its customers a sportier gloss black finishing. To name a few, the grille, alloy wheels, bumpers, ORVMs and roof comes with a similar kind of treatment while enhancing the overall look.

Enter the cabin and many of us might be able to find it similar to the outgoing model. Land Rover has introduced some minor yet important updates inside the cabin. For instance, there is an updated multifunctional steering wheel, climate control switches, ventilated seats, optional heads-up display and a new 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Go through the infotainment display and one might be able to realise that it is now available with the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. To conclude, the cabin of the 2021 Land Rover Discovery now feels less busy with a minimalistic approach.

Engine & Performance

Globally, it is available with three powertrains on offer with 48V mild-hybrid technology. To begin with, the P300 variant comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is capable of producing 300PS of power and 400Nm of torque. The other one is the P360 trim. The sole D300 variant comes powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that is truly capable of producing a massive 300PS of power and 650Nm of torque. All the engines will be available with 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD powertrain as standard.
