Germans are literally doing well here and to uplift its game even the Japanese brand is ready to go head-on against them with the all-new Lexus ES. Planning to buy a luxury sedan? Let’s check out the new Lexus ES down below.
There are some minor yet important changes that can be witnessed in the new Lexus ES. The first one is obviously visible to the naked eye and to be precise, the brand has slightly updated the signature grille. Interestingly, even the headlights and alloy wheels are new to enhance the overall stance.
Two new paint schemes have also been added in the form of Sonic Iridium and Sonic Chrome.
The cabin of the new ES feels premium with new upholstery. This time, the Japanese carmaker has decided to offer ventilated seats for even the second row. Other features including a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 17-speaker Mark and Levinson surround sound system, an air ioniser and a 360-degree camera are there depending upon the variant.
The 2021 Lexus ES also comes with a powered tailgate and kick sensor that reasonably minimises human effort.
Just like the older version of ES, the new one also features a powerful 2.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology onboard. As claimed by the brand, this entire setup is capable of churning out a massive 215BHP alongside 221Nm of peak torque while being paired to a CVT gearbox.
For your information, the mild hybrid technology gets a 16kW battery pack with the ultimate motive to aid overall fuel efficiency and even offer sudden bursts of power whenever required.
In India, the updated Lexus ES compares with some well-established German rivals such as BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. As we know, A6 is only available with a sole petrol engine, therefore, it is one of the closest competitors to the new Lexus ES. Want to learn more about it? Check out all the details related to it down below.
Almost all the luxury cars available in this segment have been updated recently. The all-new Audi A6 has been revised to align it with the modern design language. Under the hood, the updated sedan comes powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an overall output rated at 245HP and 370Nm.
In terms of features, Audi A6 is loaded with four-zone climate control, Matrix LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, multiple drive modes and the brand’s Virtual Cockpit among others. For more details related to it click here.
