- Mahindra has launched the second generation Mahindra Thar.

Mahindra has recently launched the second generation Thar in India. Meanwhile, the company has revealed the surprising data that states that the all-new Mahindra Thar has already received 36,000 enquiries and 9000 bookings since its launch.
The engine that powers the second generation Mahindra Thar is a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine that produces 132BHP of power. However, another 2.0L mStallion petrol engine produces 152BHP of maximum output. Both the engines come paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, customers can choose a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel variant and a 6-speed automatic for the petrol variant.
Mahindra will also offer features such as a 7.0inch touchscreen infotainment display, roof-mounted speakers, an MID display for the instrument cluster and steering mounted controls inside the cabin of the second generation Mahindra Thar. However, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, hill start, descent assist, roll over mitigation, etc. are the safety features on the 2020 Mahindra Thar.

Despite test drives being available in just 18 cities, to begin with, we have received over 9,000 bookings for the All-New Thar, since its launch, which is unprecedented for this segment.”
