2021 MG ZS EV to launch in India on 8th FebruaryImage Source: Top Gear

MG Motors has recently introduced the 2021 MG ZS EV in India with a price tag of Rs.20.99 Lakh onwards. To sum up the updates on the all-new MG ZS EV, it is now available with a better ground clearance, improved range, new 17-inch tyres and the Eco Tree challenge feature. Apart from this, the updated electric SUV remains almost the same without any cosmetic updates.

Feature-wise, the all-new MG ZS EV remains unchanged. It is still available with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, power-adjustable driver seat and air purifier among others. Further there are three drive modes on offer – Sport, Normal and Eco.

One of the major highlights for the 2021 MG ZS EV is its range. The updated electric car is now available with a 44.5 kWh battery that is capable to go around 419 kms when fully charged. In terms of power delivery, the all-new ZS EV remains unchanged. As usual the permanent magnet synchronous motor produces 143PS of power alongside a peak torque of 353Nm.

Apart from this, even the tyre profile of the updated electric SUV now stands at 215/55 R17. Earlier, it used to be 215/50 R17 while the alloy wheels remain the same as earlier. Interestingly, even the ground clearance of the 2021 MG ZS EV now stands 177mm as against 161mm.

There are two variants available in the 2021 MG ZS EV. The first one is the Excite variant that comes with a price tag of Rs.20.99 Lakh. Meanwhile, another one is the Exclusive variant that is priced at Rs.24.18 Lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Currently, the MG ZS EV will be available in around 31 cities. However, the British carmaker will continue to provide the MG shield to its customers that include multiple benefits including unlimited kms warranty, roadside assistance, free labor services, etc.
