BMW Group has finally launched the 2021 MINI Countryman range in India. The company has priced the all-new Countryman Cooper S at Rs.39.50 Lakhs. 2021 MINI Countryman
In terms of features, the updated MINI Countryman range comes with a new set of LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, redesigned air intake and roof rails. Meanwhile, at the rear, it is now available with another new set of LED taillamps in Union Jack design and chrome plate dual exhausts. Inside the cabin, Countryman Cooper S comes with a panoramic sunroof, two-zone climate control and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, it is the JCW Inspired Countryman that offers additional features such as an all-digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, paddle shifters and a wireless charging pad among others.
Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, the 2021 MINI Countryman is capable of going from a standstill to 100kmph in just 7.5 seconds. Also, the top speed of the updated hatchback stands at 225kmph. Coming back to the engine, it is capable of producing 192HP and a peak torque of 280Nm while being mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Other Details
The carmaker has decided to make the all-new MINI Countryman more accessible by introducing the Absolute Value pack up till June 2021. Further, this value pack includes several benefits including 3 to 4 years of EMI and after-sales services such as parts replacement, assured buyback and discount on accessories among others.

In India, the all-new MINI Countryman range will go head-on against the likes of Volvo XC40 and BMW X1. Apart from this, we expect carmakers such as Mercedes and Audi to launch their updated entry-level SUVs in India soon.
BMW X1
The updated BMW X1 comes with a starting price tag of Rs.37.20 Lakhs and goes all the way to Rs.42.90 Lakhs for the top-spec variant (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available with both petrol as well as a diesel engine on offer.
Volvo XC40
Volvo XC40 is currently available with a price tag of Rs.39.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This small SUV by Volvo gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel motor that is capable of producing 190Ps of power alongside a peak torque of 400Nm.
