2021 Tata Safari RevealedImage Source: Autocar India

Tata Motors has recently revealed Tata Safari and it looks absolutely stunning in an all-new avatar. The company has also rolled out the first unit of the 2021 Tata Safari from their Pune facility. Finally, after going through all those multiple changes we expect the name to continue its legacy in India. Here’s take a look at all the details we have covered.

Design: 2021 Tata Safari

Design-wise, the all-new Tata Safari looks absolutely baffling and it reflects how Tata has worked hard for the design bit. Starting with the front, the SUV now comes with a chrome grille with tri-arrow elements on it. Meanwhile, for a premium appeal, even the door handles and headlight casing has got some chrome finishing as well. The front section of the 2021 Tata Safari also resembles the slightly compact Tata Harrier and it remains similar till the C-pillar. Further, the company has introduced an all-new avatar to the SUV with a redesigned tailgate and a new pair of headlights.

What about the interior of the 2021 Tata Safari?

Coming to that, Tata Motors has not yet revealed the pictures of the interior till now. However, expect the interior to come finished in an Oyester White color scheme for the premium feel. Complementing the interior is a panoramic sunroof that provides the passenger a more airy cabin. Meanwhile, features such as the floating touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, aero throttle styled handbrake, etc. among others will be available on the 2021 Tata Safari.

Engine

Under the hood, the all-new Tata Safari will come with a 2.0L Kryotech four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This engine on the other hand can produce 170HP and a peak torque of 350Nm. Further, for transmission duties, one can either opt a six-speed manual gearbox or a torque converter.

Based on the OMEGARC platform it shares its underpinnings with the Tata Harrier. And the interesting part about this platform is that it is optimum for a 4×4 powertrain. Therefore, expect Tata Motors to introduce a 4×4 variant of Tata Safari soon.

Alternatives

When launched the all-new Tata Safari will compete directly against the 2021 MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV500. Meanwhile, Tata Motors is expected to price the upcoming Safari between 15 Lakh to 21 Lakh.
