Tata Motors is tirelessly working while keeping in mind the demand of its audience. The Indian car manufacturer has finally launched the 2021 Tata Tigor EV with Ziptron technology at Rs.11.99 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. Got your checklist? It is safer than ever, packs almost every crucial feature and even comes with an overall range of 306kms (claimed by ARAI). Yes! You heard that right.

Exterior & Design

The overall design of the updated Tigor EV is familiar to most of us. Apart from the overall design language, it comes with multiple blue panels, 15-inch alloy wheels and a chrome black cover for the grille portion. Several basic features such as fog lamps, LED headlamps, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, etc will continue to retain the practicality of the all-new Tigor EV.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the dashboard layout of the 2021 Tata Tigor EV remains similar to what we get on the standard version. Just like on the outside, the blue highlights continue to differentiate it with several practical features including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push-button start-stop and connected car tech among others.

In terms of safety, it has scored a 4-star rating at the Global NCAP. Other than this, it comes with dual airbags, hill start assists, ABS with EBD and hill descent control to name a few.

Powerplant

Powering the new Tigor EV is a big 26kWh lithium-ion battery that works in conjunction with a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The overall output from this setup is rated at 75HP and 170Nm that pushes the electric car to clock a triple-digit speed in 5.7 seconds while using the ‘Sport’ mode.

The most exciting news for today is that this all-new EV returns a claimed range of 306km. Interestingly, both the battery and electric motor are available with an 8 year or 1.6 Lakh km warranty.

Charging

For that, Tata Motors has decided to offer a 15A charger that is capable of juicing up the battery from 0-80 per cent in 8.5 hours. In a hurry? Well, this battery pack can also be charged in a similar way while using a fast charger. The estimated time for the same stands at 60 minutes according to the spec sheet.
