Exterior and Design

BMW calls it a Sports Activity Coupe and with that, the expectations from this vehicle rise in terms of design and overall performance. We will definitely talk about the performance later but right now, let’s take a look at its design.

To begin with, the all-new X4 is solely available in Black Shadow Edition. This way, it obviously comes with Black Sapphire and Brooklyn Grey exterior shade. For the facelift, the updated SAC is now available with a revised front grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps.

A set of new 20-inch M sport alloy wheels is also there to compliment the overall design. However, to keep everything aligned, the rear end has also received some minor updates.

Interior & Safety

BMW has always been very particular about the occupants’ safety. As a result, the updated X4 is now loaded with six airbags, an electric parking brake, ISOFIX child seat mounts, engine immobilizer, cornering brake control and dynamic stability control among others.

Now let’s talk about the creature comforts available inside. Since this is the xDrive30i variant, it manages to clock a triple-digit speed in 6.6 seconds.

There is also a powerful xDrive30d variant with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel motor and as claimed by the brand, it is capable of churning out a massive 265 horsepower and 620Nm of peak torque while pushing this SUV to do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 5.8 seconds.

Thankfully, the updated X4 is available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with power channelled to all four wheels. To handle the overall driving dynamics, four modes including EcoPro, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus have also been offered.
