A similar power unit that we have already witnessed on the new Multistrada V2 will be available on the DesertX as well. According to the Italian brand, it is a 937cc twin-cylinder, water-cooled engine with overall output rated at 110HP and 92Nm. Interestingly, the alteration can be done to these power figures by using four different modes, including Full, High, Medium and Low. Similarly, to change the overall dynamics, riders can also use the other six dedicated modes.

As per the spec sheet, the 2022 DesertX is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox while being assisted by a slipper clutch for all the transmission duties. Safety-wise, it has been loaded up to the brim with cornering ABS, engine braking, traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter just to ensure the user’s safety.

To stop this adventure tourer, Ducati has decided to employ dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 265mm disc at the back. Just to make it capable off the road, the brand is offering a 46mm adjustable USD fork and an adjustable monoshock unit as standard. Interestingly, both these units are sourced from KYB.

Even after being a hardcore offroader, it is available with lots of features, including all LED lighting, USB charging socket, DRL and a 5-inch TFT display. For added practicality, the former display unit is powered by Ducati Multimedia System.
