Exterior
The front profile of the all-new Ford Ranger feels well balanced but the headlights have already received a ton of mixed reactions. According to Ford, the manufacturer has even worked on the dimension numbers to improve the overall stance. For instance, the updated UV is now 50mm wider when compared to the outgoing model.
Talking about the tail-end, it now comes with a large ‘Ranger’ tag on the gate. Interestingly, Ford has even decided to offer LED taillamps that looks absolutely stunning throughout. The older version was already available with a host of additional accessories and therefore, expect the all-new Ranger to get the exact same.
Interior
Ford has done commendable work if we talk about the cabin. A simple layout featuring a large screen ranging between 10 to 12-inches are available depending upon the variant. To improve its usability, the carmaker has even introduced the brand’s latest Sync4 software with integrated air-con controls.
Sitting just behind the steering wheel is now a fully digital driver’s display. Surprisingly, just like the unit that was offered on the Raptor, even this one can be customised according to the requirement. With a comfortable seating position and premium material inside the cabin, the all-new Ranger feels premium like any other SUV from Ford.
Engine
Just like the outgoing counterpart that was available with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, even this one will arrive with the same unit. The top-spec variants are also expected to come with a powerful 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. However, the overall output from both the units is still not known.
Transmission duties for the updated range are now managed by new five and six-speed manual gearboxes. For added convenience, Ford has also decided to offer a trustworthy 10-speed automatic gearbox.
