Exterior

The updated C-Class looks similar to the A-Class Limousine from certain angles. However, when talking about numbers, it is larger and better in every sense. For buyer’s satisfaction, the brand has even shared the exact numbers where the length of the car stands at 4751mm, width at 1820mm and wheelbase at 2865mm.

The all-new C-Class is now equipped with sleeker headlamps, taillamps and stylish alloy wheels. Apart from this, only the colour palette has witnessed an update.

Interior

Just like a typical Mercedes, the interior of the all-new C-Class feels plush with premium materials all around. If you remember, the updated S-Class features a vertical infotainment screen at the centre. Borrowing similar styling cues, even the C-Class is now featuring a massive 11.9-inch touchscreen with the brand’s latest software in an LCD form.

The dashboard of the 2022 C-Class is also updated in a decluttered manner. This way, a clean layout that comes with crucial features such as a sporty steering wheel with touchpad control and an all-digital driver’s display has been added. Other modern features such as a wireless charging pad, panoramic roof, Burmester surround sound system, etc. are also a part of the list depending upon the variant. The only disappointing part about the new C-Class is that it misses out on the ventilated seats that some rivals might be offering.

Engine & Powertrain

To be sold in three different variants, namely C200, C220d and C300d, the updated sedan has arrived with two engine options. The first one is definitely a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol unit with overall output rated at 201 horsepower and 300Nm. Meanwhile, the other one is a 2.0-litre diesel power unit that is being sold in two different tunes, being the sole reason why we have separate C220d and C300d variants. Since Mercedes-Benz has revealed the overall output of both the variants, the first one is capable of producing 197BHP/440Nm. Talking about the top-spec C300d, it churns out a massive 261 horsepower and 550Nm of peak torque. Also, the carmaker has introduced its EQ Boost technology in all three of them to enhance the overall performance while keeping the fuel efficiency intact.
