2022 Nissan GT-R

As mentioned earlier, there are two limited-edition models with a decent amount of updates. The Premium and Track Edition now comes equipped with ceramic brakes, a rear spoiler finished in carbon fibre, an engine cover and exclusive edition-specific badging to differentiate them from the standard GT-R. Grabbing all the attention on the road are two new exclusive exterior shades in the form of Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple where the latter one is said to be adopted from previous models.

According to the carmaker, T-spec is GT-R’s ideology of leading and shaping the times. Also, this name takes all the inspiration from the words traction and trend.

The Track Edition by NISMO T-spec also features a unique roof and trunk lid that are entirely made up of carbon fibre.

Inside the cabin, the layout of the dashboard remains exactly the same. However, for enhanced exclusivity, both the limited edition models get some exclusive changes on the inside. Other changes like forged alloy wheels, reprofiled suspension setup and extra wheel-rim width make it one of the best GT-R ever when it comes to ride and handling.

Engine

Powering the 2022 Nissan GT-R and the two new editions is the same 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that was available on the outgoing model. The overall output from this unit is currently rated at 565HP and 633Nm. According to the brand, this motor is also available with additional power that stands at 591HP.

The entire range of 2022 GT-R comes mated with a sole 6-speed DCT gearbox with an AWD powertrain as standard.

Launch

The Japanese auto giant has decided to retain this all-new Nissan GT-R and Special Editions for their local market. Interestingly, only 100 units of T-spec models will be manufactured to make them exclusive offerings. Is it coming to India? Well, it isn’t and if launched then, it will be the standard model that will be getting the minor updates for MY2022.
