At the time when electrification is at its peak, carmakers like Porsche still have a soft corner for the enthusiasts. The electric Taycan might put you in denial mode for some time. But, then the upcoming 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 is magnificent enough to push you out of it. The naturally aspirated motor under the hood continues to put a grin on your face. However, the “it can be the last update for the GT3” phrase still concerns petrolheads very often.

Surprisingly, at the time of unveiling, everyone in the industry thought that it would not be coming to India anytime soon. But, the German brand has finally listed it and of course, it is enough to tell everyone that the sportscar might land on the Indian shores in the coming few weeks.

In terms of design, the updated model retains the iconic look with a blend of modern design language. To dig deep, the oval headlamps are still there. However, just to tell you that this one is the latest iteration, the carmaker has incorporated LED units for a contemporary look. Apart from this, the all-new Porsche 911 GT3 will also be featuring large air intakes and a whopping rear spoiler to enhance the overall appearance.

The 20-inch chunky alloy wheels at the front and the 21-inch units at the back will continue to serve their purpose for this sportscar.

Enter the cabin and one might be able to witness a new world out there. As a part of the update, the all-new 911 GT3 will now be getting microfiber upholstery. Further, features such as a multifunctional steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and Sports seats among others.

Now coming to the centre of attraction, it is the naturally aspirated 3996cc six-cylinder boxer engine that is capable of producing 510PS of power @ 8400 RPM and 470Nm of peak torque @ 6100 RPM. Interestingly, customers can choose the gearbox according to their convenience between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed PKD transmission.

Performance is what Porsche aims for every time it introduces a new or an updated model. Without wasting further time, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 320kmph.
