Recently, several automakers have been introducing their high-end adventure tourer bikes in India and now, it’s time for Triumph Motorcycles to introduce theirs. The British brand has finally decided to roll out the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 in India with a price tag starting at Rs.19.19 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200

Triumph has decided to offer the 2022 Tiger 1200 in four trim levels: GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer, and Rally Explorer. The last one is obviously the most expensive one with a price tag of Rs.21.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The British brand has even confirmed that both the GT models will now be getting three shades including Sapphire Black, Snowdonia White and Lucerne Blue. The first two shades are also available on the Rally models. However, to differentiate, an all-new Matt Khaki colour scheme has replaced the Lucerne Blue. For the first time, all of them are coming up with multiple optional accessories, keeping in mind the touring factor.

The Explorer models are equipped with massive 30-litre fuel tanks when compared to the 20-litre setup that is being offered on the GT. The rear tyre profile remains constant on all four of them. However, the front wheels are expected to differ depending upon the variants.

Another interesting bit about the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 is that the entire range has shed around 25kgs when compared to the outgoing model. In terms of features, they are loaded with best in class 7-inch TFT screen, traction control, ABS, multiple ride modes and all-LED lighting to name a few.

The new series is available with a 1160cc three-cylinder engine that is now compliant with the latest emission norms. As per the spec sheet, the power unit propels a massive 147 horsepower and 130Nm of peak torque while being paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch as standard, making it one of the most powerful in the segment.

In India, Triumph Motorcycles has decided to offer 3 year/unlimited kilometres warranty. Of course, it can be extended for a few extra bucks while offering a hassle-free ownership experience.
