2022 Yamaha FZS 25: What’s new?

For the MY2022, Yamaha has decided to offer two new shades, including Matte Copper and Matte Black to bring a modern touch. For your information, the brand will not be using the outgoing colour schemes on this specific model of the naked motorbike. This way, the updated FZS 25 is now available with only two shades.

Thankfully, the FZ 25 range remain exactly the same with a price tag of Rs.1.38 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for all three – Racing Blue, Metallic Black and Monster Energy Edition shades.

Engine

Yamaha has decided to deploy the old 249cc single-cylinder engine that was already available on the outgoing model. To be precise, this power unit still produces an adequate 20.8PS of power and 20.1Nm of peak torque.

For transmission duties, this setup is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Hardware & Features

To counter different kinds of terrain in India, FZS 25 is available with a telescopic fork (front) and a monoshock unit at the rear. For enough stopping power, Yamaha is also offering disc brakes on either end. Thankfully, the brakes are assisted by a dual-channel ABS to ensure the rider’s safety during hard braking.

Feature-wise, this bike is loaded with an LCD instrument cluster, LED lighting, tall wind visor and knuckle guards as standard.

Alternatives

In India, Yamaha FZS 25 compares with other 250cc bikes, including Bajaj Dominar 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250. Want to buy a similar bike? You can even check out the new Dominar 250 before jumping to any conclusion.
