The standard bikes are only available in two different shades, including Dark Matte Blue and Matte Red. Interestingly, the DLX trim gets three exclusive colour schemes, namely – Solid Grey, Metallic Deep Red and Metallic Black for the model year 2022. These shades also get some differentiated styling elements in the form of coloured alloy wheels and new graphics to improve the overall design.

Feature-wise, both of them remain almost identical and that’s something surprising. To begin with, the 2022 Yamaha FZS range is equipped with an LED headlight, fully digital rider’s display, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and single-channel ABS. The DLX variant even features LED turn signals to minor differentiation.

Making it capable is a potent 149cc single-cylinder engine that churns out a decent 12.4PS that redlines at 7250 RPM and 13.3Nm at 5500 RPM while being paired to a 5-speed gearbox. For your information, this is the exact same power unit that was available on the outgoing model.

Currently, Yamaha is willing to retail the standard variant with a price tag starting at Rs.1.16 Lakhs. Meanwhile, it is the DLX trim that will be priced at a premium of Rs.1.19 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
