Want to learn more about the all-new BMW 3 Series? Let’s take a look at the details related to it down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 2023 BMW 3 Series has made its world debut.
  • To be available with the same engine options.
  • Receives minor cosmetic and feature upgrades.

2023 BMW 3 Series

Although it is a facelift, the 2023 BMW 3 Series feels absolutely modern, at least on the outside. At the front, the new design language has enhanced the agressive look. As a result, we now have a new grille finished in piano black flanked by sleeker headlamps. A new set of bigger fog lamps has also arrived at the lower half of the bumper.

BMW claims that the kidney grille has become smaller. Well, that’s another sigh of relief for the enthusiasts. The side profile remains similar to the outgoing model. However, BMW has introduced a new set of alloy wheels to match the overall styling.

At the back, the facelifted 3 Series will feature an all-new bumper and even the taillamps have been revised.

A typical BMW affair can be seen inside the cabin but with some exciting changes for MY2023. For example, the front AC vents on the new 3 Series are now sleeker and in the real world, it does make a lot of difference in terms of design. Similarly, both the screens, including a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system have also received major enhancements. The latter one is now a curved display and thankfully, it has also gained BMW’s latest eighth-generation OS updates that allow users to wirelessly mirror their smartphones and locate parking, making it handy.

Unlike the current-gen model, the new 3 Series also features some touch-sensitive buttons on the centre console instead of the normal ones just like how the automaker has been doing with the other newer models.

Talking about the engine options for the Indian market, they are expected to remain similar to the existing ones but with an updated 8-speed gearbox. Thankfully, the automaker has even decided to offer paddle shifters as standard across the range and that’s how convenience has remained the top priority this time.

There’s even a touring model sold globally along with the regular sedan. However, BMW has no intention to introduce it in India anytime soon.

When launched, the all-new BMW 3 Series will take on the rivals such Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE and Volvo S60 to name a few. Where some of these are only available with a petrol engine, the upcoming 3 Series is expected to feature a diesel engine as well.
