Maruti Suzuki is well known for introducing best sellers in the Indian market. Once again, the carmaker managed to bag around 9 lakh unit comprehensive sales for the Baleno hatchback. Interestingly, Baleno was initially launched in India as a hardcore sedan. Further, it was the Baleno Altura that played the role of a station wagon for the brand. However, both of them failed to perform well in India. But even after failing, they managed to bag a decent amount of sales.

The ‘Baleno’ moniker was reintroduced in 2015. But this time as a hatchback. Since the day of its launch, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 9 lakh units till now. Not to forget, Baleno was even the fastest selling premium hatchback to reach the 6 Lakh unit milestone.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Maruti Suzuki Baleno sales have crossed the 9 Lakh unit milestone in just 6 years.
  • It is currently available with a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine that produces 81.80BHP of power.
  • The hatchback is currently available with a price tag of Rs.5.90 Lakh onwards.
