After Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki Updates XL6 For 2022; Priced At INR 11.29 Lakh Onwards

Maruti Suzuki is updating its lineup in series for India and till now, several cars have been updated to stay relevant in today’s world. Recently, we got to witness the all-new Ertiga and now, it’s time that we present the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 before you. Yes, the brand has finally launched the MPV and this time, with multiple cosmetic and feature upgrades.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6

Just like the outgoing model, the new XL6 is also going to be retailed via the carmaker’s NEXA channel. This way, it is a premium MPV with features slightly better than the recently launched Ertiga, although with only a 6-seater layout.

For the model year 2022, the front portion has received some minor enhancements. For example, the grille has been updated with an ‘X-bar’ finishing and a new skid-plate has also been introduced on the lower end. The side profile now features stylish 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. However, the design of these wheels remains largely subjective. Coming to the tail-end, it remains more or less the same with 3D LED taillamps.

Inside the cabin, changes are far more visible when compared to the exterior. With a basic design language, the cabin of the 2022 Ertiga is now equipped with some new features including ventilated front seats, a massive 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, automatic climate control and voice commands for a modern feel.

Occupants’ safety on the all-new XL6 is ensured by NEXA Safety Shield. For your information, this package includes safety features such as four airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera and ESP to name a few.

An updated engine has been introduced to power the new XL6. The carmaker claims that it is a next-generation 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with hybrid technology onboard. Capable of producing a decent 101 horsepower and 136.8Nm, the new setup is either available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. For the first time, Maruti Suzuki has even equipped the XL6 with paddle shifters with the latter transmission option as standard.

Looking for the overall fuel efficiency? Well, the manual variants have been tuned to return an overall mileage of somewhere around 20.97kmpl. Similarly, the automatic variants are available with 20.27kmpl mileage.

Maruti Suzuki is also sticking with the monthly subscription plan that starts at just Rs.25,499 per month for the all-new XL6. Customers who wish to take this MPV home without actually owning it can opt for the brand’s Subscribe scheme as well.
