Aprilia, an Italian motorcycle company is a brand owned by Piaggio. The brand starts as a manufacturer of bicycles has moved on to manufacture scooters and small capacity motorcycles. It is reported that Aprilia is working on a new generation of the superbike RSV4 superbike, the 2019 Aprilia RSV4 is said to get a revised engine with better power as well as better displacement and new chassis. It is expected that the 2019 Aprilia RSV4 will be released in mid-2019. Reports suggest that the new engine will make between 215-220 bhp straight to compete with Ducati Panigale V4. The present 1000cc motor makes about 201bhp which will be now replaced with a 1100cc V4 unit that is derived from the Tuona. Planning to compete in the World Superbike championship, the new Aprilia RSV4 will be released in 2 versions that is in 1100cc and 1000cc just as Ducati.

The Aprilia RSV4 has been around in the market for about a decade and has undergone quite a lot of modifications since. The bike is one of the top superbikes available in the market today. This time the RSV4 is said to be undergoing a comprehensive update, which includes a new and better suite of electronics and a new chassis- based on the current aluminum twin-spar design which is stiffer and will make the bike lighter by almost 5-7kgs. Similar to the Panigale V4, RSV4 is based on the MotoGP prototype that is used by the Aprilia riders Aleix Esparago and Scott Redding. The 2019 RSV4 is expected to be revealed at the EICMA show that is to take place in November of this year. Whereas the limited edition of the Aprilia RSV4 was unveiled and the new 2019 model which is expected to be designed and styled as well, which includes the new winglets on the fairing.

It was Aprilia that revived the powerplant of V4 superbike class with the RSV4. Ducati has also replaced the iconic L-twin in favor of the V4 motor on the range of Panigale V4. Aprilia, similar to Ducati will continue to offer a 1000cc low capacity V4 powered variant to compete in WSBK where it has won three constructors title.

The styling of this stunning motorcycle wouldn’t be much dynamically different from the existing Aprilia RSV4 that is currently in the market since the present bike still looks sharp and extremely attractive. However, we might get to see some aerodynamic components on the 2019 version.
