The upcoming e-Tron is a typical Audi SUV but with a pinch of electrification that differentiates it from the regular ones. Here pinch doesn’t mean that there is a mild hybrid or a PHEV powertrain. In fact, this new Audi is fully electric and is already available globally.

Now it is high time and Audi thinks that they have allocated almost all the resources to launch it in India. The German carmaker is coming with the Audi e-Tron on 22nd July with bookings already started against a token amount of Rs.5 Lakhs. Want to protect mother nature? Well, the upcoming e-Tron can be the first step towards that.

Exterior & Design

Looks are really very conventional with some new bits to differentiate it from its ICE counterparts. It is available with both regular and Sportback versions for either type of customer.

The front profile of the electric SUV sports a distinctive grille, Matrix LED headlights, traditional wing mirrors and air vents for cooling as well. The side profile remains very similar to any other Audi but the rear tailgate of the e-Tron features a handsfree open/close function.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Audi e-Tron feels sharper than any of its internal combustion siblings, letting everyone know that this is what we can actually call the future. It is fully loaded with typical Audi affairs like the dual touchscreen displays, Virtual Cockpit, 4-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging pad and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround system among others.

Like any other five-seater SUV, it can easily seat up to five occupants with much ease. Also, keeping in mind their safety, Audi offers a plethora of safety aids such as stability control, ABS, traction control, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist and lane departure warning.
