Of course, the upcoming Q7 will be coming in an all-new avatar. Design-wise, it has been revised with a new pair of sleeker LED headlamps, a larger grille, reprofile bumper and a muscular bonnet hood at the front. Similarly, the side profile and the tail-end also features new alloy wheels and taillamps respectively to balance the overall design language.

Inside the cabin, Audi is expected to introduce a layout that will remain similar to the other updated models. Talking about the dashboard, it will now sport a flat-bottom steering wheel, 10-.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, additional screen for climate control and new upholstery for a fresh ambience. Other features such as a large panoramic sunroof and Bang & Olufsen sound system are also a part of the feature’s list.

Engine & Transmission

Without any diesel engine on offer, the 2022 Q7 will remain a petrol-only model. Expected to arrive with a 252HP, 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, it will be available with a mild-hybrid system similar to what we have recently witnessed on the new Volvo XC90. Sources even suggest that the German brand is willing to introduce a powerful 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 unit. However, confirmation regarding the same is yet to arrive.

For transmission duties, Audi will be using their capable 8-speed automatic gearbox. Interestingly, just like the outgoing model, even the updated range will be available with the brand’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard.

Alternatives

When launched, this all-new practical SUV will go head-on against the likes of Land Rover Discovery, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Volvo XC90 and BMW X5. Planning to enter this segment? Well, even the new XC90 makes a lot of sense with a price tag starting at Rs.89.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Check out some more crucial details related to it down below.

Recently, Volvo India has decided to take another step towards a cleaner tomorrow. As a result, the carmaker is now introducing a mild-hybrid system to the entire portfolio. Feature-wise, the SUV remains exactly the same with a fully digital driver’s display, four-zone climate control, large panoramic sunroof and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system among others.
