For starters, the dashboard of the upcoming e-Tron GT comes with a 10.1-inch instrument cluster which is slightly tilted towards the driver end. Similarly, other features such as a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, automatic climate control, 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a multi-functional steering wheel are there to make it a feature-loaded electric car.

Powertrain

At the time of global unveil, Audi introduced e-Tron GT in two variants. The standard one that will surely come to India comes with twin motors available on either axle to produce a combined output of 475HP and 630Nm of peak torque. As claimed by the brand, this variant gets Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system that pushes the performance sedan to clock a triple-digit speed in just 4.1 seconds.

Then, comes the e-Tron GT RS that gets an even powerful electric motor. The overall output from this setup is rated at 598HP and 830Nm but for enhanced power delivery, Audi has introduced a boost mode that pushes the entire power figure to 646HP. Talking about the RS variant, it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.3 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.

Right now, both of them are available with an 85kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 488km.

Expected Launch Date & Competition

The carmaker is expected to roll it out from the showroom by October 2021. Surprisingly, the upcoming Audi e-Tron GT and e-Tron GT RS does not have any direct rival in the Indian market. When launched, Porsche Taycan is expected to lock horns with the e-Tron RS.
