Pune-based Avan Motors launched its third offering Trend E electric scooter at an ex-showroom price of ₹56,900. The central government provides a subsidy of ₹22,000 on gearless scooters.

The new model of Trend E is enabled with a detachable battery pack and comes with a single battery pack with a riding range of about 60 kms once charged full. Also this range gets almost doubled on a twin battery pack to about 110 kms. For one full charge the battery needs to be charges between 2-4 hours.

The electric scooter which runs on a lithium ion battery has a top speed of 45 km/hour. The Trend E is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a coil spring rear suspension. Along with this, the scooter gets alloy wheels, disc and drum brakes on the front and rear wheels. The scooter can take a maximum load of 150 Km.

Avan had earlier launched the Xero and Xero + scooters. It had to take the Xero off the market following withdrawal of government subsidy. The Xero+ is priced at ₹47,000.
