There’s a big reason why everyone is a big fan of Dominar 400 if they are looking for a tourer. Heard about the Polar Odyssey? Well, Bajaj Dominar 400 was the first bike from an Indian manufacturer to complete this journey across 12 countries. According to the brand, Dominar was able to complete this entire journey (around 51,000 km) in just 99 days without even a single failure. To be precise, that’s 515kms per day in terms of the daily average.

Now, coming to the present. W have good news for everyone who is planning to buy a tourer! Today, Bajaj Auto has announced the all-new Dominar 400 with a touring kit available as standard at just Rs.2.17 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Want to learn more about it? Bajaj Dominar with Touring Kit

As we know, the normal variant was priced at Rs.2.12 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi), therefore, paying an extra amount of just Rs.5,000 won’t affect their overall budget at all.

The touring kit on the all-new Dominar 400 is factory fitted and to be precise, it will include several crucial upgrades such as a tall wind visor, knuckle guards and a luggage carrier. To make it even practical, Bajaj has introduced a USB charging port and amount for devices that can be used anytime.

Bajaj has also announced a saddle stay for it but for now, the brand has decided to sell it at an additional cost. Unlike the other parts mentioned above, it will be sold as an optional accessory through authorised dealers.

Hardware

At the front, the all-new Bajaj Dominar 400 uses a 43mm inverted fork. Meanwhile, at the back, it sits on a monoshock unit. For riders’ safety, Bajaj will continue to offer a 320mm disc (front) and 230mm disc (rear) while being assisted by a dual-channel ABS.

Engine

Powering the updated bike is the same 373.33 single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out a decent 40PS of power and 35Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for this setup are managed by a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch still available as standard.

At the beginning of this year, Royal Enfield reintroduced its capable tourer – the Himalayan with some mid-life updates. Available with the same engine, it still gets a 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled unit with overall output rated at 24.8PS and 32Nm while being paired to a 5-speed gearbox as standard.

Feature-wise, it is loaded with tripper navigation, switchable ABS, disc brakes and fuel indicator among others.
