Being the rider’s first choice, the Pulsar RS 200 became the third Bajaj offering from the Dominar 400 with dual-channel ABS. So Dominar 250 Bajaj Auto recently upgraded the whole Pulsar lineup to satisfy new BS-VI emission standards. As a consequence, the transition for all models has occurred during price increases and the RS200 is that the leading pulsar purchasable within the country, and its BS6-compliant version is priced at Rs 1,44,966 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
While the BS4 Pulsar RS 200 was initially launched with one channel ABS, Bajaj introduced a dual channel ABS version for the bike late last year. However, the BS6-compliant RS 200 was initially launched with single-channel ABS, but now and again, dual-channel ABS receives the quality. Talking about the technical specification, the RS200 199.5cc single-cylinder Liquid-Cooled DTS-I (Triple Spark) draws power from the engine, giving it a maximum power of 24.5 PS with a maximum torque of 18.7 Nm which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox transmission. In suspension front, the motorcycle receives a telescopic arm at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The braking is controlled by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm disc on the rear. just like the powertrain, a small visual change is formed on the RS 200 and it continues to streamline the twin-projector headlamp setup with LED-DRL, crystal LED taillight and semi-digital instrument cluster. The bike comes with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends wrapped with MRF Neoglip Rubber. Bajaj Pulsar offers the RS200 with three different paint options: Racing Red, Graphic Black and Racing Blue.
At Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the Pulsar RS200 rivals with the KTM RC200, another 200cc motorcycle within the country, compared to the Yamaha YZF-R15V 3.0.
