Last time we confirmed that Bentley has decided to part ways with its 6.0-litre W12 engine and now, there are a series of events happening taking all of us away from an era full of engineering art. A limited-run trim called Bentley Speed Edition 12 has made its way on Bentayga, Flying Spur, Continental GT and Continental GTC, celebrating almost two decades and close to 1,00,000 units with this acclaimed W12 motor.

Exterior
The changes on the outside are mild but they are worthwhile. Starting with the first one, Bentley has introduced silver brake callipers, which are unique and cannot be found in any other model from the British marque lineup. Then, there are several Speed Edition 12 badges on all four models, including a similar badging under the bonnet hood.
There’s also one more revision that feels premium: the inclusion of black-painted 22-inch alloy wheels from the Speed Edition. Other than this, a new Opalite colour scheme has been introduced to offer a fresh look on the outside.
Interior
This new limited edition draws inspiration from the Speed versions of Bentley known for their outstanding performance and opulent interiors.
To be precise, Bentley Speed Edition 12 features a special welcome lamp and illuminated treadplates that add to the overall luxurious feel of the vehicle. The seats have been redesigned with Mulliner Silver piping and labelled ‘Edition 12,’ making them a unique addition to this limited edition.
Additionally, several edition-specific panels have been added to give this limited edition a special touch, highlighting the exclusivity of the model. Every detail has been considered, showcasing Bentley’s commitment to excellence and dedication to creating the perfect car.
Other Changes
Finally, a 15% scale model of the W12 engine will be a part of the limited edition kit. It has been created using the aluminium from the actual full-size engine in the form of a memento.
