Design & Features

Just like the price tag, it is big enough when we talk about the overall dimensions. There are sharp panels on the front end for an aggressive design language but to make it even striking, BMW Motorrad has decided to offer a large LED headlamp, wing mirrors and a tall windscreen.

Talking about the other features, BMW C 400 GT comes fully loaded with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, a colourful 6.5-inch TFT instrument display, charging ports and keyless start.

Hardware

To make the new C 400 GT comfortable, BMW has decided to use a 35mm telescopic fork on the front. Similarly, at the back, it comes equipped with twin shock absorbers that can also be adjusted.

Braking duties for the same are managed by twin 265mm discs (front) and 265mm (rear). Both of them are assisted by ABS for enough stopping power as a standard feature.

Engine

BMW Motorrad has decided to offer a 350cc single-cylinder, water-cooled engine on the C 400 GT. The power figures from this unit are currently rated at somewhere around 34HP and 35Nm that makes it one of the most potent maxi-scooters available in India.

The top speed of the same stands at 139kmph and without a doubt, it looks the best by segment standards.

Alternatives

In India, BMW C 400 GT does not have any direct rivals. However, keeping in mind its segment, it is expected to go against the Honda Forza 350 globally. Planning to buy a powerful maxi-scooter? Check out the Forza 350 below.

The all-new BMW C 400 GT looks quite expensive in front of the Honda Forza 350. Of course, Honda has not introduced it in India yet keeping in mind that C 400 GT has arrived, the Japanese brand might push themselves to do the same. Power on the Forza comes by a 330cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out a decent 29.2PS and 31.5Nm of peak torque. Feature-wise, it is loaded enough with all-LED lighting, USB charging ports, digital instrument cluster and smartphone connectivity among others.
