In terms of design, the i4 Limousine resembles the regular 4-Series except for some minor changes here and there. For example, the front grille has been tweaked and even the regular alloy wheels have been replaced by a set of new aero-tested units.

Mechanically, it is based on a platform similar to what we have witnessed on the new 3-Series. Another change in the form of air suspensions at the rear is also a part of the update when compared to the standard ICE model.

Cabin of the i4 Limousine surely reminds you of the regular 4-Series. Surprisingly, the dashboard still features twin curved screens where the one just behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch fully digital display and the other, that we can see at the centre is reserved for a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The most interesting part about these screens is that both of them now run on the brand’s latest Drive 8 OS. Other than this, they even support over the air updates for improved functionality.

Feature-wise, BMW i4 Limousine is loaded with the best in class, 17-speaker Harman Kardon music system, three-zone climate control, big sunroof and Park Assist to stay as practical as its sibling that comes with an internal combustion engine.

Currently, it will be available with an 83.9kWh battery pack and a single motor that churns out a decent 340 horsepower and 430Nm of peak torque. The availability of a single motor has even confirmed that the power is channelled to the rear wheels. Still, the entire setup is capable of pushing the all-new i4 Limousine to clock a triple-digit speed in 5.7 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 190kmph.

Talking about the charging, i4 can withstand fast charging of up to 205kW. To fully juice it up, a normal 11kW charger will take around 8.5 hours. There’s also regenerative braking that really helps in improving the overall range. The claimed range by WLTP for BMW i4 Limousine stands at 590kms.
