BMW has always focused on the overall balance and that is one of the reasons why they have been doing good in India. For the past few months, other luxury carmakers were working hard enough to stay relevant in this market and thankfully, BMW was still doing well without any new launch. The brand has finally updated the X3 compact SUV for India with a price tag starting at Rs.59.90 Lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Wish to enter this segment? Here are all the details related to the BMW X3 Facelift down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • BMW X3 Facelift has made its debut in India at Rs.59.90 Lakh onwards.
  • It is available with a potent 252HP, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
  • Also gets several cosmetic and feature updates for the model year 2022.

Exterior and Design

At the front, the updated SUV now comes with a larger grille, new LED headlamps and a completely revamped bumper. Although the bonnet hood remains more or less the same, the carmaker has tried to infuse freshness by offering new 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels.

Talking about the rear profile, it remains almost the same. Just to differentiate, BMW has decided to offer a new rear bumper with a fresh set of LED taillamps.

Interior

The features offered may differ depending upon the variant. However, talking about the top-end variant, it is now available with a massive 12.35-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display. The dashboard has also received minor updates in the form of new panels. Interestingly, just like any other luxury SUV, even this one is loaded with a 360-degree camera, cruise control, three-zone climate control and a Harman Kardon surround sound system to name a few.

Engine & Powertrain

Looks like carmakers are slowly shifting to a petrol-only lineup. Sadly, the updated BMW X3 is no more available with a diesel engine. Instead, it will get a sole 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine known for producing a massive 252HP and 350Nm while being mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Thankfully, BMW is still sticking to the all-wheel-drive system for the entire trim.

Alternatives

The updated BMW X3 is all set to go head-on against the likes of SUVs such as Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and the upcoming Lexus NX. Planning to enter this segment? Let’s check out all the details related to the all-new Audi Q5 down below.

It took Audi one complete year to reintroduce Q5 in India. The major reason behind this delay was, of course, the introduction of the BS6 emission norms and just after that, even COVID played a spoilsport by pushing the launch even further.

Now, it is back and sadly, with a sole 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine known for producing a decent 245BHP and 370Nm of peak torque. Feature-wise, this updated SUV is well-loaded with all sorts of modern equipment such as a massive 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof and automatic climate control to name a few.
