BMW S 1000 RR was enough in terms of performance. So what would have forced the German bike manufacturer to introduce a more capable superbike in India? Well, obviously it is the increase in demand for performance cars and bikes which is growing at a substantial rate.

BMW M 1000 RR

Remember BMW S 1000 RR? Well, it is the same superbike from which the all-new BMW M 1000 RR borrow most of its underpinnings. The difference between both of them is that the latter one is more track-focused and performance-oriented. In terms of design, it is sharper and more sophisticated when compared to its younger sibling.

The superbike comes with carbon wheels, twin-pod LED headlamps, air intakes and a tall windscreen to name a few. For now, it will be available with three new colour schemes including Racing Red, Racing Blue Metallic and Light White. Further, as we know BMW is quite particular about attention to detail. And for that, keen observers can see the fuel lid painted in black while the engine now gets a granite grey finishing.

Not to forget, it comes equipped with a 6.5-inch coloured TFT display.

At the heart, BMW M 1000 RR comes with a powerful 999cc four-cylinder, water/oil-cooled engine. This motor is truly capable of producing a massive 212HP @ 14,500 RPM and a peak torque of 113Nm @ 11,000 RPM. Not to forget, in terms of performance it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.1 seconds.

Meanwhile, the top speed from this superbike stands at 306kmph. There are four different ride modes on offer. However, for enhanced performance, customers can choose the Competition package that will cost them a premium of Rs.3 Lakhs.
