The German bike manufacturer has teased the upcoming BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter several times for the Indian market. Looks like it’s showtime as BMW Motorrad has finally decided to introduce it on 12th October with details related to its deliveries out on the same day. Design & Features

Big! Well, that’s how anyone will react while getting its first glimpse. With sharp panels, the new C 400 GT features a large LED headlamp, wing mirrors and a tall windscreen. The stepped-up seating arrangement of this powerful maxi-scooter looks absolutely comfortable. Interestingly, the German brand is also offering some practical features including smartphone connectivity, a colourful 6.5-inch TFT display, keyless start, LED taillamp and multiple charging ports, ultimately making the upcoming BMW C 400 GT the most wanted maxi-scooter till date.

Hardware

Suspension duties for the BMW C 400 GT are currently managed by a capable 35mm telescopic fork up front. At the back, it is equipped with conventional twin shock absorbers that are easily adjustable.

For enough stopping power, BMW Motorrad has decided to offer twin 265mm discs (front) and a single 265mm at the back with ABS available as standard on the all-new C 400 GT.

Engine

Powered by a potent 350cc single-cylinder, water-cooled motor that is truly capable of churning out a massive 34HP and 35Nm of peak torque, it is expected to be one of the most powerful maxi scooters available in India.

Transmission duties for it will definitely be handled by a CVT gearbox. With this entire setup, the all-new BMW C 400 GT can clock a top speed of 139kmph. That’s impressive! Isn’t it?

Alternatives

Just like the all-new BMW C 400 GT, the 2021 Honda Forza 350 looks absolutely striking from all four ends in case you really admire maxi-scooters in the real world. Powered by a 330cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out a decent 29.2PS and 31.5Nm that pushes it hard and fast to a top speed of 137kmph. In terms of features, the updated maxi-scooter comes fully loaded with all-LED lighting, USB charging ports, digital instrument cluster and smartphone connectivity to name a few. Also, expect it to arrive in India by the end of 2021.
