BMW first introduced the M vehicle offer strategy in the year 2018 for its motorcycles. However, this is the first time that BMW Motorrad is offering a dedicated M performance tuned motorcycle globally. The upcoming motorcycle by BMW Motorrad with an ‘M’ badging will be the BMW M 1000 RR. Meanwhile, the ‘M’ badging on the BMW M 1000 RR indicates the ultimate racing performance.
With a tuned performance, the water-cooled, four cylinder engine now produces a massive 212BHP of power @ 14,500 rpm. Meanwhile, the peak torque churned from this particular engine remains to be around 113Nm @ 11,000 rpm with Anti-Hopping clutch for Launch Control. BMW is also offering the BMW ShiftCam technology on the M 1000 RR. This technology mainly focuses on varying the valve control time and valve lift.
Based on the BMW S 1000 RR, the BMW M 1000 RR comes with the same light white paint finished in light blue, dark blue and red. The engine comes with a granite grey paint scheme. Meanwhile, the fuel tank cap on the BMW M 1000 RR gets a black color treatment.
Other than the cosmetic updates BMW M 1000 RR comes with 5 riding modes on offer including the Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro 1-3. Other than this, BMW is also offering Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Control, USB charging socket, cruise control, heated grips and lightweight battery on the M 1000 RR.
Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad is also offering the additional personalisation kit like M competition package. It includes M GPS laptrigger software and activation code, M milled parts package, 220g lighter swingarm, DLC coated M endurance chain and passenger package with tail hump cover.
BMW Motorrad, however, is all set to launch the BMW M 1000 RR globally by mid 2021. The upcoming M 1000 RR superbike will cost somewhere around CAD $42,400.
