BMW X7 is what ‘Luxury on Wheels’ exactly feels like and with a third row on offer, it is a complete package for a family of more than five. In no way does the new X7 feel gimmicky but there’s no denying the fact that the front profile of the SUV is now a little bit overdone. The facelifted X7 is said to be available in two different variants and both of them are going to burn the pockets of their customers by costing more than a Crore.

Interestingly, the SUVs are going to be assembled in the country itself and that’s why prices are still under control. Want to learn more about the 2023 BMW X7? Here’s take a look at the details related to it down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • BMW X7 Facelift is now available in India.
  • Receives a price tag starting at Rs.1.22 Cr.
  • Powered by petrol as well as diesel engine.

2023 BMW X7: What’s new?

Exterior and Interior

Looks are subjective and that’s because the entire front profile has been updated. The grille, bumper and split LED headlamp/DRL setup are new and they will take time to feel a little better. The rear and side profile however remain untouched with some minor changes and that will definitely allow you to breathe a sigh of relief. Inside the cabin, only the 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch infotainment system has received the updates.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the updated X7 xDrive40i M Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine. The specification sheet states that this engine currently produces a massive 381 horsepower and 520Nm of peak torque by clocking a triple-digit speed in just 5.8 seconds. Then there is a six-cylinder diesel motor with similar displacement that churns out 340 horsepower and 700Nm of peak torque and a similar lap time from that could be set in 5.9 seconds to be precise. Both the power units are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Want to tweak the overall performance so that the fuel efficiency can be improved? Or one day, driving like a hooligan is something you might be looking forward to? For that, the engineers have decided to offer specific drive modes like – Efficient, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. Since we mentioned above that it is a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), the power at all times will be channelled to all four wheels with “Automatic Differential Brake Locks (ADB-X) for maximum stability. Other features that push the same factor to the next level are Dynamic Traction Control and Hill Assist.
