BMW XM Label Red
Exterior & Design
In terms of design, BMW XM already felt like an SUV on steroids, but if we talk particularly about the Label Red version of the same, then it has received some cosmetic changes on all four ends.
The point is BMW has extensively used the Toronto Red accent on several panels to make the SUV stand out. However, customers do get the option to play with over 50 colour shades so that they can customise the SUV according to their wants. Also, instead of the Toronto Red colour scheme, the same panels can also be done in Metallic Black.
The grille now comes finished in gloss black. Meanwhile, the 21-inch alloy wheels have been deployed as standard. BMW has confirmed that only 500 units of XM are to be sold globally and that’s the only reason why the brand is pushing its customers to go check it out soon.

Interior
Among other exclusive changes, the interior of the XM Label Red has also received a special touch. To be precise, the ‘XM’ badges are now finished in Red and the stitching on the M multifunction seats has also received a similar kind of revision.
Besides this, the SUV is loaded amply with the features we have already witnessed on the standard XM.
To begin with, the dashboard of the XM Label Red is available with twin screens, where the first one is reserved for the Live Cockpit Professional and the other one for a touchscreen infotainment display. The steering wheel has now received an M badge and features such as ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, etc are also available as standard.
BMW has also ensured the safety of the occupants and, therefore, decided to offer an Advanced Driver Assistance System once again.

Engine & Transmission
BMW claims that XM Label Red is the fastest car to roll out from the M Division facility. So, to confirm, we went through the spec sheet. It states that the SUV is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 748 horsepower and 1000Nm of peak torque.
Surprisingly, this is a significant improvement and as confirmed by BMW, the powerplant now churns out 95 horsepower and 200Nm more when compared to the standard model.
The automaker has also used a reliable eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox for transmission duties. Surprisingly, the permanent synchronous motor copies the style of this gearbox on the output front to push the vehicle faster in case of hard acceleration.
Performance
The final results are mind-numbing and BMW assures its customers that the all-new XM is capable of clocking a triple-digit speed in just 3.8 seconds. Sadly, the top speed of the same is limited to 250kmph but it can be unlocked by opting for the M Driver’s Package. As soon as this kit is incorporated, the top speed enhances to 290kmph.
Is it coming to India?
As mentioned above, only 500 units of XM Label Red will roll out from the facility. Now, since the German automaker has introduced the regular model in India, we expect a tiny lot of this special edition to debut soon.
