Honda Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has launched the all-new Honda Jazz in India. The facelifted Honda Jazz is priced at ₹7.49 lakh onwards. However, after the stricter emission norms, Honda has discontinued the diesel variants of the Honda Jazz. And thus it will now only be available with petrol engines.

The BS6 Honda Jazz is available with the V, VX and ZX trim with a petrol engine. However, the hatchback now comes with a redesigned front grille which is finished in gloss black with chrome finishing. The headlights on the top-spec is now an all-LED unit, meanwhile, the fog lamps are also an LED unit. The front bumper of the Honda Jazz receives some minor change as well. The sides remain similar to the older generation Honda Jazz. However, the rear end now comes with LED taillights along with the wing lights.

Likewise, the interior now comes with a sunroof as optional. The steering wheel controls now gets a chrome ring with the soft touchpad on the passenger side. The added features on offer are cruise control, push start/stop button, and smart key. The smart key now comes with the remoteless entry.

The engine that powers the BS6 compliant Honda Jazz is a 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit. This particular engine produces 90PS of power with a peak torque of 110Nm. While this engine comes with two transmission options – 5-speed manual and 7-speed CVT gearbox. The automatic 7-speed CVT comes along with paddle shifters for slick shifts. Meanwhile, the 5-speed MT returns a mileage of around 16.6 kmpl. Meanwhile, the CVT returns a mileage of 17.1 kmpl.

The color options available with the Honda Jazz are

  • Radiant Red Metallic
  • Lunar Silver Grey
  • Platinum White Pearl
  • Modern Steel Metallic
  • Golden Brown Metallic

With comfort, Honda is also offering 3 years/unlimited kilometres warranty as standard. While the customer can extend it up to 2 years/unlimited kilometres. Another option is for the annual maintenance package (30,000km) for ₹11,670.

Honda Jazz 2020 is all set to rival the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo in India.
