Tata Altroz
Design
In terms of design, the new Altroz looks absolutely striking from all four ends. The front profile of the hatchback features a modern-day LED headlamp setup, DRLs, sportier bumper and a wide air intake lower down. Talking about the higher variants, they run on a set of large 16-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped with tubeless tyres for a hassle-free experience. At the back, the new Altroz also features a pair of LED taillights that works brilliantly throughout.
Interior & Safety Aids
Inside the cabin, it does feel basic with a nicely laid dashboard. However, with a premium quality material, it does sport some crucial features such as a multi-functional steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control and voice command among others.
For occupants safety, Altroz comes fully loaded with dual airbags, ABS, corner stability control and a 5-star Global NCAP rating.
Engine
Starting with the most powerful iTurbo model. It comes powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a decent and 140Nm of peak torque while being mated to a sole 5-speed manual gearbox.
Coming to the standard model, it is available with either a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel motor. Talking about the power figures, the first one is truly capable of producing 86BHP and 113Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, it is the diesel motor that churns out a massive 90BHP alongside a peak torque of 200Nm. Currently, there’s no automatic version available for the Altroz, therefore, customers will be getting a 5-speed manual gearbox across the entire range.
